Hi!!! Welcome to our SMOOTH AS WOOD web site where if it's not done right, it's not for sale. We take great pride in our CUSTOM TURNED WRITING INSTRUMENTS, some call them pens, we call them art. We turn them in our own shop here in Bucksport Maine then polish them to a glassy finish. We can turn a pen from just about any wood or solid surface. We can even turn pens from some cloth materials. Custom turned pens are a wonderful gift for a loved one or can be a great graduation gift for someone you're most proud of. If there's a piece of wood you have that holds a special meaning to you we can turn it into something you can carry with you forever, wherever you go. Our prices are very reasonable. We also do other wood work that we are very proud of. Take some time and look through the site. If you don't see what you want or have an idea of something you would like built let us know and we will work with you to see what we can come up with. Its hard for us to keep this page up to date. We are always making new pens. Because of this we have become proud members of THE PEN MALL. Take some time and look over our pens on our page in the mall. Remember if you see something you like let us know before you buy. We can usually give you a better price if the pen you want it purchased off line. You can purchase anything we have on the web site by using your credit card through PayPal. It's a very secure site and the only one I would use. All you need to do is click on the "BUY IT NOW" button at the top of each big pen picture and PayPal will walk you through the rest. If you do not have a PayPal account you can still purchase a pen through their site using your credit card.
